Website Tips & Tricks

Wait, this isn't Prague...

Nope - we're in the Tips & Tricks section first.

SITE NAVIGATION

This site features one page per location, as our tour was structured differently than many other Rick Steves' multi-day tours. To help you find what you're looking for quickly in each city, I added a "Quick Navigation" menu to let you click your way through exactly what you want to see.

The site is responsive, meaning it *should* work on mobile devices as well as it works on a computer screen. It *SHOULD* work. If you see anything funky, email alwayswanderingsometimeslost@gmail.com and let me know what you see. Screenshots are invaluable!

PHOTOS

Yup, there's a lot of photos. I didn't want to miss anything, plus I had to make up for my horrid photography from 20 years ago. I took over 7,000 photos on this trip. I've truly tried to winnow that down to the best of the best...but this is a scrapbook after all, so there are a lot of photos.

You can click on each photo to expand the image, its title and description, or you can just scroll on by. The photos are optimized to load quickly but still retain their quality. All photos, except ones clearly marked as such, are my own. Most are from my Nikon D3500 DSLR, using either a Nikon - AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens (the vast majority) or a Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens. Some were taken with my Samsung Galaxy S10 using their standard camera.

On mobile - be careful which "back" button you use. If you use your browser or phone "back" button, you may go back to the home page (depending on your browser and phone model). To go back to where you were on the site, use the site's "back" button.

There is also an image slider - you may need to press and hold it to active the slider capability. But do it - that's one of my favorite parts of the site.
